Morelle’s first build project was ‘Crab Apple House’ in Klein Constantia
Road, a gracious family home set amongst the Constantia Winelands. The
second was the extensive renovation and transformation of ‘Holly House’ in
Bishopscourt Village. During this second project, Morelle discovered a
dearth of white stone cast step edging. This led to the founding of
‘Dino Morelle Stoneworks’. Drawing on her considerable creative and
aesthetic ingenuity she designed moulded interior and exterior stonework
for local manufacture. Her pieces met with instant acclaim and were in
high demand from landscapers, interior designers and architects.
She has extended her business over the past 15 years to set up ‘Casa
Stonecraft’ for Aldera & Martina Precast, and in more recent times ‘Garden
Art’ for Plaster Art.
Encouraged by the success of various projects, Morelle broadened her
building and construction experience by joining Faircape Property
Developers. Her role here was to envision a scheme for clients, and then
project-manage the building and design of homes, together with architects
and the QS, to a fully complete home for owners.
This led her to project-managing two Camps Bay builds, House O’Brien and
House Mahon. Morelle directed the construction and interior design from
start to the final, furnished ‘home away from home’ for both sets of

marketing experience gained at ‘Coco Karoo Interiors’ and ‘Homes &
Antiques’ retail outlets, has established Morelle’s name in the world of
interiors both locally and abroad.
